Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
Location: OUHSC Campus, Oklahoma City
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
- College or university administrative duties may be assigned by either the Dean of the College of Pharmacy or the Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
- University, Professional Organizations, and Community Activities
- Participates on departmental, college and university committees
- Provides leadership in the development of pharmaceutics services
- Participates in appropriate scientific, academic and community organizations at the local, regional and national level
Education
- Provides leadership in the didactic teaching to professional and graduate students in the area of pharmaceutics and in other areas of expertise
- Participates in and maintains professional student pharmaceutics laboratories
- Provides opportunities for graduate students to work and learn in the laboratory as a means of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree
- Provides opportunities for professional students to work and learn in the laboratory as a means to enhance their pharmaceutical education
- Provides opportunities for post doctoral fellows and other selected colleagues, trainees and students to work and learn in the laboratory
- Provides leadership in the development of the pharmaceutics graduate programs
Research
- Develops, implements, and completes independent or collaborative research
- Provides leadership in the development of pharmaceutics research programs within the college, throughout the HSC campuses and at other sites where opportunity for collaboration is possible
- Maintains adequate grant support for research endeavors
- Disseminates new and/or applied knowledge through peer-reviewed publications
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in pharmaceutics or closely related area
- A record of nationally-recognized achievements in research with emphasis on pharmacogenetic aspects of pharmacokinetics or biopharmaceutics
- Must have on-going grant support
- Must meet requirements to work in the United States
- Must have a record of meaningful involvement in the education of professional and graduate students
